I can't believe conservatives and the insurance companies are complaining that a government health plan might be too good and too cheap, and insurance companies won't be able to compete with it. Don't they normally say private business can always do things better? Have conservatives lost their bearings?

How does it happen that some right-wingers sometimes look intelligent, when usually most of them look as stupid as they are?

Yesterday I saw a bumper sticker that said, "Socialism is un-American." "Socialist" and "socialism" seem to be the new buzzwards to build fear of Barack Obama and the Democratic Party. I'm amazed that "socialism" even inspires that much hatred and fear. Socialism in America has a long, beautiful history.
